THE ADELAIDE REGIONAL
APPALOOSA CLUB HISTORY
Now known as the: SOUTH AUSTRALIA APPALOOSA CLUB
Many Appaloosa horses were imported into Australia from America and in 1971 The Australian Appaloosa Association was formed. For more information and the origins and history the Appaloosa please visit http://www.appaloosa.org.au/history
The Association is supported by numerous Appaloosa clubs throughout Australia wide in the promotion of the Appaloosa breed. ARAC was the first club in South Australia and was also formed in 1975. In 2002 the Adelaide Regional Appaloosa Club and the South Australian Reining Horse Association merged. Reining is open to all breeds and club enthusiasts enjoy sporting events as well as traditional pleasure classes.
The South Australia Appaloosa Club holds shows from September through to May and are open to all breeds. We have breed only halter classes for Appaloosas, Quarter Horses and Paint Horses and many varieties of ridden events open to all breeds.
